Support from this effort helps fund Cook Children’s greatest needs, including daily patient care, program enhancements, advanced medical technology, and innovative equipment that keeps pace with the latest breakthroughs in medicine. Your generosity helps ensure every child receives extraordinary care every day.

Wheelchairs 4 Kids helps improve the lives of children with disabilities by providing essential mobility equipment such as wheelchairs, ramps, lifts, and home accessibility modifications. Because children quickly outgrow their equipment and Medicare often won’t replace it for five years, many families face serious financial and medical challenges.
This cause was especially meaningful to Les Stevenson, who established the detachment’s partnership with Wheelchairs 4 Kids in 2015. Following his passing on January 15, 2025, the tournament was renamed the “Cpl. Les Stevenson Charity Golf Tournament” in his honor.

Nora received her new chair thanks to our most successful golf tournament to date.
We were pleased to present a check for $20,000 in 2026.
