As the new school year approaches, the Marine Corps League Longhorn Detachment will be collecting school supplies and monetary donations through August 15 to help children who need them most. This year's effort will directly support students at Cook Children's and those attending local Title 1 schools throughout our community.

Our goal is simple: ensure every child has the supplies they need for a successful start to the school year. Every backpack filled, every notebook donated, and every dollar contributed helps ease the financial burden on families and reminds students that their community believes in them.

A $40 donation provides one child with a complete backpack filled with essential school supplies, giving them the confidence to begin the school year prepared and ready to learn.
