School Supplies to Students in Need

We are proud to launch a community-wide school supply drive dedicated to helping local children start the school year with confidence, dignity, and the tools they need to succeed. Through a series of events, outreach initiatives, and generous community partnerships, the Marine Corps League Longhorn Detachment 1069 is coming together to collect backpacks, notebooks, pencils, crayons, folders, markers, and other essential classroom supplies for children who need them most. This effort will directly support young patients at Cook Children's Hospital as well as students attending local Title 1 schools throughout the Crowley, Burleson, and Joshua communities.

From May 1 through July 31, we will be collecting both new school supplies and monetary donations to ensure every child we serve is prepared for a strong start to the school year. Financial contributions allow us to purchase high-need items in bulk, fill supply gaps, and maximize the number of children we can reach. Every backpack filled, every notebook donated, and every dollar given helps ease the burden on families, brings comfort to children facing medical challenges, and reminds students that their community believes in their future.

Together, we can turn simple school supplies into confidence, opportunity, and hope for the year ahead.
