CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT

Corporal Les Stevenson Charity Golf Tournament Benefitting Cook Children's Hospital and Wheelchairs 4 Kids

Our premier Burleson charity golf tournament brings together more than 200 golfers, volunteers, sponsors, and community partners for an unforgettable day of fellowship, friendly competition, and purpose-driven giving. More than just a tournament, this annual event is one of the signature ways the Marine Corps League Longhorn Detachment 1069 turns community support into real impact, with proceeds benefiting Cook Children's Hospital, our newest benneficiary, and Wheelchairs 4 Kids.

Players enjoy a day on the course filled with camaraderie, contests, prizes, and community spirit, all while helping provide compassionate medical care for children and life-changing mobility equipment for kids in need. Every team registration, sponsorship, raffle entry, and donation helps extend hope far beyond the fairway.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our sponsors, players, and volunteers, the 2025 tournament raised more than $20,000 to support these vital missions. This year, we are setting our sights even higher with an ambitious goal of $50,000, allowing us to expand our reach and continue changing lives across Burleson and beyond.

Our 14th Annual Corporal Les Stevenston Charity Golf Tournament will take place on July 10th, 2026 at Southern Oaks Golf and Tennis Club in Burleson, TX.

Whether you join us as a golfer, sponsor, donor, or volunteer, your participation directly supports children and families who need it most.

Tee up with purpose. Invest in hope.
Help us make this our biggest year yet.

Your generosity helps ensure every child receives extraordinary care every day.

“We are beyond grateful for the partnership with the Marine Corps League. This kind of community support changes – and saves – lives every single day.”

Wheelchairs 4 Kids helps improve the lives of children with disabilities by providing essential mobility equipment such as wheelchairs, ramps, lifts, and home accessibility modifications. Because children quickly outgrow their equipment and Medicare often won’t replace it for five years, many families face serious financial and medical challenges.

This cause was especially meaningful to Les Stevenson, who established the detachment’s partnership with Wheelchairs 4 Kids in 2015. Following his passing on January 15, 2025, the tournament was renamed the “Cpl. Les Stevenson Charity Golf Tournament” in his honor.

Nora received her new chair thanks to our most successful golf tournament to date.

We were pleased to present a check for $20,000 in 2025.
